This article shows you how to use vyssuals.com for visualizing Revit model data.

Getting Started
Download and install the Vyssuals Revit Connector from vyssuals.com. This is a lightwheight Add-in for Revit that manages the data synchronization between Revit and vyssuals.com
Once you have installed the connector, open Vyssuals like so:
- Start Revit
- Go to Add-ins tab
- Click 'Start' in the Vyssuals section
The Connector Interface
Auto Sync
Enables automatic synchronization with vyssuals.com. Use with care, with great power comes great responsibility.
Auto Sync is turned off by default.
Update Data
This is your way to manually send data to vyssuals.com. It gives you more control over when you want to refresh the data.
Update Name
You can give your updates a name to identify them more easily later on.
Show Rooms
Shows rooms in 3D. Enable this to allow Vyssuals to use rooms.
Show Areas
Shows areas of the selected area scheme(s) in 3D. Enable this to allow Vyssuals to use areas.
Show Vyssuals
This just opens vyssuals.com in your web browser. It's just a shortcut, you can open vyssuals.com however you want.
Disconnect
This will close the Vyssuals Connector but all your data will remain available in the web app.
Useful Keyboard Shortcuts
Tipp: Isolate the elements you're interested in by using the 'HI' keyboard shortcut. This makes it easier to understand your charts.
- IC: Isolate category of selected object
- HI: Isolate selected object
- HH: Hide selected object
- HR: Show all hidden objects again
Add A Chart
Data Source
Select one or more datasource(s). You can send data from as many Revit models as you like. You can also import CSV files.
Chart Types
There are 5 chart types at the moment.
- Bar
- Doughnut
- Total
- Timeline
- Ratio
Update
Every Time the Auto Sync send new data or when you manually send data a new update will be available. You can leave it a "Use Latest", which will always show the most recent data for the source(s) selected, or you can choose a specific update if for example you want to compare updates against each other.
Show Values Of
Choose the name of the parameter you want to calculate value of. In a bar chart this will be the y-axis.
Group By
Choose the name of the parameter you want your data grouped by. In a bar chart this will be the x-axis.
Subgroup 1
The parameter for breaking down groups created by 'Group By'.
Color Selectors
Edit the colors of your chart. If you are using a number parameter for 'Group By' you get the option to use a gradient instead.
Sync Colors To Revit
Click the antenna icon to make the chart automatically sync its colors to the corresponding Revit elements.
